Alma Fayette Brown, 82 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Saturday November 10, 2018 at her home. She was born on February 11, 1936 in Nelson County, KY to William E. and Ora Grisby Smith. She was a retired cook for Jennings House Assisted Living and a member of the First Baptist Church in Charlestown.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leroy Brown; brothers, Calvin Smith, Marnie Smith, Glenn Smith, and Hedger Smith; sisters, Gladys Coulter, Veneta Burns, Lottie McComb, Sandra Scott and Vicky Smith. Alma is survived by her daughter, Gina R. Brown (Vincent Langley) of Charlestown; sons, James W. Brown of Charlestown and Lee Brown (Samantha) of Charlestown; brothers, Eugene L. Smith of Campbellsville, KY, Nathaniel J. Smith of Otisco, IN, Kenneth Z. Smith of Charlestown and Finace Smith of Georgetown, IN; sisters, Olena W. Brickner of Birmingham, AL and Rebecca L. Bennett of Duncan, KY; grandchildren, Abbey and Alexis Brown. Life Celebration services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday November 15, 2018 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday and after 9 am on Thursday.
