Alton Charles Noggle 92 of Ashville, Ohio , passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Berger Hospital. Alton was born on November 27th, 1925 to the late Ralph and Grace (Delong) Noggle. He was born and raised on the family farm in Scioto Township near the small community of Robtown.

Alton joined the Army in 1944 , he was in the 329th Infantry Regiment, 83rd Division . Alton was Honorably Discharged from the Army on July 8th, 1946. He married his first wife Orabelle Bush, together they raised one daughter Phylliss Smith, son Charles Eugene and step son William Bush.

Alton Worked at the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Columbus, Ohio. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, son Charles Eugene Noggle, step-son William Bush, son-in-law Eddie Smith, brothers, Lester “Doc” , Harold, Russell, sister-in-law Helen Noggle; nephew Richard “Dick” Noggle. Survived by his wife Betty (Starkey) Noggle whom he married on October 20th, 1982; daughter Phylliss Smith, step children, Charles (Kathleen) Smith, Sally (Dean) Sisson, Melinda (Terry) Mikruta, Betty (Marvin) Wilson, Patty Getson; sister Nellie Amspaugh , sister-in-law Gloria Noggle, and special friend Carol Blaney ; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; also a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with a Service on Monday April 23rd, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Pees officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery, Circleville.
