Letty Pearl (Dunkle) Moody age 86 of Ashville passed away on Fri. May 25, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on January 25, 1932 in Ross County, Ohio to the late Samuel and Nellie (Rutter) Dunkle.

Letty retired after over 18 years with Orient State Hospital. Before her health declined she attended Village Chapel Church. She was very soft spoken and was a survivor by nature and made the best of any situation.

Her advice was to take life one day at a time. Some of her favorite past times were to play euchre, crocheting, and she loved to fish. Preceded in death by her husband in 2006, Charles “Pete” Moody and a daughter, Brenda Posey; 6 brothers and 4 sisters.

Survived by children, Jim Moody of Ashville, Beverly (Bill) Bolender of Circleville, Jerry (Katherine) Moody of Ashville, Jeffrey (Mary Jo) Moody of Amanda, and Gregory (Caren) Port Charlotte, FL; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tues. May 29th from 5-8 p.m. at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St. Ashville with a Service on Wed.

May 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery, So. Bloomfield.
