Alvin Hardin June 16, 1929 – March 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Alvin Hardin, 89, of Lexington, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation. A funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, March 22 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, Lexington, NC. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park officiated by Rev.

Terry Coats and Sammy Alison Sr. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday, March 21 at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Hardin was born June 16, 1929 in Cherokee County to Herbert (Hub) Hardin and Hattie May Hardin. Alvin was a self-employed mechanic and a mechanic in the US Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jean Hardin Jones Byrd. Alvin will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving daddy, grandpa, pawpaw, devoted Christian, hard-working mechanic and proud patriot and US Navy veteran. Surviving are his loving wife , Jeanette Lewis Hardin, of Accordius Health of Lexington; son, Tim Hardin of Lexington; daughter, Robin Marie Hardin Roseberry of Lexington; brother Stinnet Hardin (Dorothy) of Andrews; four grandchildren, Todd Hardin, Megan Hardin, Michelle Hardin, Nathan Hardin; one great-grandchild, Dakota Ray Ware; and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Pine Ridge Health and Rehabilitation who took great care of him for the past seven years, and also Thomasville Medical Center for all you did for him.
