Alvin Ray Carson, Sr. of Kansas City, Missouri September 23, 1939 – March 16, 2019 Alvin Ray Carson was born September 23, 1939. He was the youngest of nine children born to Troy Carson and Ethel “Momma” Tidswell Carson in Paris, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, wife, Cheryal, sisters, Effie and Maxine (Marvin), brothers, Matthew and Curtis, a nephew, Larry, a grandson, Damien and a best friend, Roy Lee Miller.

Alvin was known as “Slim” to his friends and family. He was very outspoken but a loving brother, uncle, father and grandpa. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School and retired from Blankenship.

Alvin R. Carson departed this life on Saturday, March 16, 2019, in Kansas City, Missouri. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children and grandchildren; Glynis (Desmond, Rickeisha, Anthony and Ebonee), Marla (Antonio, MiChen and Ebony), Alvin “Ray” (Ce’Arria, Jaevyn and Alexander); sisters, Laura, Bonnie Jo and Ruby of Oklahoma; brother, Troy; eight grandchildren; a best friend, James Click and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services for Mr. Carson will be held 12:00 P.M. Friday, March 22, 2019, at E. S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel.

Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until service time Friday at the chapel.
