Obituary for Amelie Dusenbery Thibodaux Amelie Dusenbery Thibodaux, 61, a native of Houma and resident of Bayou Blue, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 3:33pm. A visitation will be held in her honor on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park (4511 West Park Avenue in Gray, Louisiana) from 5:00 pm until the Rosary at 8:00 pm with a Memorial Service to follow the Rosary. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Ted Thibodaux; daughters Michelle Trahan Caskey and husband Lamar and Jennie Trahan Chauvin and husband Eric “Turtle”; stepdaughters, Kelly Thibodaux Barrera and husband Daniel and Karen Thibodaux Boudreaux and husband Rod; sisters and brothers, Gene Ellen Sanders (Jerry), Timmy Dusenbery (Karen), Rosie Naquin (Carey), Cindy Fanguy (Danny), Margaret Dufren (Chet), Monica Pellegrin (Dwayne), Annette Dusenbery, Louis Dusenbery, and Marie Lirette; grandchildren, Kaleb John, Mason, Mallory, Macy, Daniel John, Kaitlyn, and Lauren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Wylma Dusenbery; mother-in-law, Mabel Thibodaux; brother, John Dusenbery; sister, Veronica Trahan; and brother-in-law, Terry Lirette. She loved music, singing, especially The Moody Blues. She enjoyed being a proud mother and grandmother.
