Obituary for Andrew Carl Konkle Print A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Andrew Carl Konkle, 71, who passed away at his home on Saturday, February 16, 2019 in Kaplan. Pastor Berl Adams will be officiating for the service. At Mr. Konkle’s request his ashes will be spread in Galveston, TX.

The family has requested the visitation to be held on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 12:00 P.M. until time of services all in the Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Konkle was a police officer for 30 plus years, 24 of the years in Crowley and 8 plus years in Kaplan. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Konkle of Kaplan; four daughters, Cheryl Konkle of Jennings, Erica Labby of Kaplan, Tesha Duhon of Kaplan and Shelly Labby of Crowley; one son, Andrew Carl Konkle, III of Kaplan; three brothers, Johnny Konkle of Monroe, Collins and Weldon Konkle both of Florida; eighteen grandchildren, Emma Melancon, Lindsey Duhon, Ashlyn Duhon, Abagail Duhon, Rebecca Leger, Priscilla Dorre, Angelique Dorre and Tracey Dorre; Gage Meaux, James Samples, James Lyon, Marty Deshazo, Austin Deal, Christopher Perry, Michael Dorre, Mitchell Dorre; one great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Leger; two nieces and three nephews.

Mr. Konkle was preceded in death by, one daughter, Crystal Dorre; his parents, John Konkle and Bertha Simon; his maternal grandparents, Valerian and Azelda Monceaux Simon.
