Obituary for Aneta Davis Ms. Aneta Arrington Davis, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away at her home on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the age of 80. Aneta was born to parents Jim H. and Veneta Berry Arrington on January 18, 1938 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She grew up as the second oldest of three girls and graduated from Stillwater High School.

Aneta studied at the University of Utah prior to becoming a member of the Oklahoma State University class of 1959. She went on to pursue her interest in Journalism at UCLA in 1961. During her life, Aneta was married and blessed with a son.

Throughout her colorful life, Aneta worked as a Congressional speech writer, a Language Arts teacher, a Deputy Probation officer/ transporter, and as a Program Analyst at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Most recently, Aneta directed the Arrington Davis LLC, Oil and Property Management Company. Aneta was always seeking adventure and managed to keep her desire for exploration alive while battling Multiple Sclerosis.

She spent much of her life in Houston Texas until moving to San Antonio during 2016 to be closer to family. She lived a full and exuberant life on her own terms. Aneta’s love of life was key in keeping her engaged with her many dear friends and family members.

Aneta is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lydia Davis Arrington; one sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Luke Nigliazzo; step-daughter, Susan and husband Hugo Carvajal; two grandchildren, Kylani and Landon; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Harriet Griffith, and husband Robert Carr. A private service will be held on December 14, 2018 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on March 16, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Stillwater Country Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the many condolences.
