Obituary for Angelique Olona (Lamont) Angelique Olona was born on March 2, 1919 at her home in Fast Horse Creek Community, near Wounded Knee, SD to John Lamont and Cecelia (Fast Horse) Lamont. Angelique made her journey to the spirit world on December 14, 2018 at the Crestview Care Center in Chadron, NE. Angelique is survived by her siblings, Alice Lamont and Kay Hudson, both of Gordon, NE and Robert Lamont of Fast Horse Creek, SD; son, John Martinez of Chadron, NE; grandchildren, Sherry Martinez of Fire Stone, CO, Johnny Martinez of Denver, CO, Rudy Martinez of Omaha, NE and Althea Martinez of Chadron, NE; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Angelique was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cecelia (Fast Horse) Lamont; son, Paul Whoilman; brothers, Gus Lamont and Wilber Fast Horse; sisters, Marie Espinoca, Rebecca Burden, Florence Green and Althea Lamont; her first husband, John V. Martinez, Sr.; and her second husband, Rudy J. Olona. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bobby Cisneros, Donald Hudson, Lank Thomas, Paul Espinoza, John Hussman and Chaske Bear Eagle. Visitation Services: Visitation service from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD.

Funeral Services: 2:30 PM, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Sioux Funeral Home in Pine Ridge, SD. Officiating: Reverend Stanley Hollow Horn Burial Services: Cremation to follow services – Burial to be held at a later date.
