Thelma is survived by her children, Gloria Brown Eyes-One Feather, Denise Brown Eyes, Cecelia Brown Eyes, and Peter Brown Eyes, Jr. all of Rapid City, SD; grandchildren, Terri (Warren) Iron Cloud-Cross of Oglala, SD, Pamela Iron Cloud, Kristina Iron Cloud, Brandon (Shane) One Feather, Robert Brown Eyes, Tanner Brown Eyes, Bernard Atkins, Julian Brown Eyes, Donovan Brown Eyes, Shawn Brown Eyes, Alexis Brown Eyes, Jayma Brown Eyes, and Donnie Brown Eyes all of Rapid City, SD, Leigh (Ohitika) Tasso and Delia Atkins both of Bismarck, ND, April (Jesse) Byerly of Martin, SD, Justina Brown Eyes of Slim Buttes, SD, Will Lame of Sacarro, NM, Elizabeth Brown Eyes and Lori Brown Eyes both of Pine Ridge, SD; great grandchildren, Douglas Cross, Warren Sherlock Cross, Tyra Black Elk, Lejandro Black Elk, Saelee Tasso, Sage Tasso, Taylor, Ryder, & Skylar Byerley, Wiconi Brown Eyes, Tatum & Bernice Brewer, Tavian Brown Eyes, Talia Iron Cloud, Sienna Penigeo, and Sequoia Iron Cloud.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Brown Eyes; sisters, Velma Lame, Pearl McClain, and Shirley Yellow Horse; brothers, Melvin Yellow Horse and Maurice Yellow Horse; son, Norman Brown Eyes; daughters, Vanna Brown Eyes and Pam Brown Eyes; sister-in-law, Marie Red Cloud; grandsons, Peter Iron Cloud, Thomas Brown Eyes, and Adam Brown Eyes; and granddaughter, Kimberly Brown Eyes.
