Clarinda made her journey to the Spirit World on December 5, 2018 at the Brian Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. Clarinda is survived by her children, Monica Colbath of Anchorage, AK, Bobby Chamberlain of Nebraska City, NE and Gail Brownlow of Alliance, NE; sister, Alvina Broken Leg of Rushville, NE; husband, John Red Star of Lincoln, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Clarinda was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Virgie (Poor Elk) Broken Leg; siblings, James, Phyllis, Douglas and Francis Broken Leg and Sylvia Wiggins; son, Neil Broken Leg; and grandparents, Frank Poor Elk, Clarinda Big Ribs-Gallego, John Gallego, James Broken Leg and Elizabeth (Light in the Lodge) Broken Leg. Pallbearers will be: Jessica Thomas, Emily Thomas, Jamella Hollow Horn, Porsha Hollow Horn, Desert Martinez, Golden Long, Trisha Red Star and Paulina Fast Wolf. Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 10:00 AM, Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Billy Mills Hall in Pine Ridge, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
