CJ made his journey to the Spirit World on December 11, 2018 at the Pine Ridge I.H.S. Hospital in Pine Ridge, SD. CJ is survived by his spouse, Margie Spider of White Horse Creek-Manderson, SD; children, Collins “Canku” (Angel) Clifford of White Horse Creek-Manderson, SD, Daniel Clifford & Family of San Antonio, TX, Brandon Clifford of White Horse Creek-Manderson, SD, Angela Clifford of Denver, CO, Eric Clifford of White Horse Creek-Manderson, SD, Calvin Spider of Pine Ridge, SD, and Candice Spider and Palani Long Soldier both of Rapid City, SD; siblings, Cleo Gates, Penny Wolters, and Angie Clifford all of White Horse Creek-Manderson, SD, Loren Clifford and Betty O’Rourke both of Manderson, SD, Darrell True Blood of Wounded Knee, SD, Peggy F. Morgan of Illinois, and Dan Nelson of Pine Ridge, SD; hunka mother, Faye Charging Thunder of Oglala, SD, hunka brother Brian “Super” Kindle of #6 Community; hunka sisters, Heather Kindle and Amber Kindle of #6 Community; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

CJ was preceded in death by his parents, Collins Leroy Clifford and Katherine Black Elk-Clifford; hunka father, Earl Charging Thunder; brothers, David Clifford and Joe Morgan; sister, Debi Hall; granddaughter, Tanayla Clifford; grandparents, Slim George Clifford, Florence Cutchall-Clifford, Ben Black Elk, and Ellen Bissonette-Black Elk; CJ was a direct decedent of Black Elk. Wake Services: Two-night wake services starting at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD with a Ceremonial Honoring following the evening meal Wednesday evening under the direction of Mr. Chris Eagle Hawk. Rosary Services and Tribal Council Roll Call: Rosary services will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Wounded Knee District School by Ms. Joyce Tibbitts Bill and Terri White, and Bob White with Tribal Council Roll Call to follow.

Traditional Lakota Services: Traditional Lakota Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 21, 2018 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD under the direction of Mr. Percy White Plume.
