Meo, 97, of Elizabeth, NJ passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation at the Werson Funeral Home, 635 North Wood Avenue, Linden on Tuesday, January 8th from 4 to 8 PM. The funeral will begin on Wednesday, January 9th, leaving the funeral home at 9 AM for a funeral mass at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, Elizabeth, at 10 AM.

Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ. Angelo was born in Elizabeth, NJ and was a lifelong resident. He was employed as a driver for the Elizabeth Board of Education for 17 years retiring in 1984.

Angelo was a communicant of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Elizabeth and was an usher there for many years. He was a member of the Elizabeth Knights of Columbus Council 3310, and proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. Angelo was predeceased by his beloved wife, Josephine (Travisano) Meo on July 13, 2010, his sister, Mamie Arcure, 2 brothers, Rinaldo “Sonny” Meo and Anthony “Tony” Meo, sisters-in-law, Minnie Sestito and Rose Costa, and his brother-in-law, Joseph Travisano.

Surviving is his sister-in-law, Virginia Travisano and many loving and caring nieces & nephews, great & great great nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers donations to the Elmora Hills Recreation Department, Attn: Jodie Lochak, 225 West Jersey Street, Elizabeth, NJ, 07202 in his memory would be appreciated.
