Longtime resident of Linden, NJ, Jean Szot, passed away January 19th, 2019. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Szot. The story of Jean Szot’s life is the story of the American Dream.

Jean came to America from Poland in 1962 and worked hard to give her family opportunities that she never had. Jean lived to see her children and grandchildren found companies, graduate from Ivy League universities, find success in real estate and technology, travel the world, and earn graduate degrees — in short, to realize the American Dream. Jean is survived by her four children: Mary Serafin; Henya Betras and Husband Joe Betras; Krystyna Niknam and husband Jubin Niknam; and Frank Szot.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Krystine Edwards and husband Ryan Edwards; Jennifer Betras; Joey Betras; Michael Betras; and Danielle Betras and husband Carl Rodrigues, Milad Niknam and Mateen Niknam. Finally she is survived by her great grandchildren: Cooper, Channing and Crew Edwards. Her family will forever miss her in their lives but will hold her dearly in their hearts.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass on Saturday, January 26, 2019 directly at St. Adalbert’s Church in Elizabeth, at 10:00 am, followed by graveside services at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery in Doylestown, PA.
