Obituary for Angie Marie Cohen Angie Marie W. Cohen passed away peacefully at 7:24 pm on January 9, 2019, surrounded by her loving children family and friend. Angie was born to Nathaniel Owens and Josephine Mae Owens (née Cobb) and raised in Toledo, OH as the youngest of their six daughters. Her father was an ordained minister of the First Church of God – Toledo, OH, which is where she maintained her membership and affiliation.

She graduated from Libby High School in 1958 where she met and married the late Ronald L. Warren, Sr., who later became a Bishop when he accepted the call to ministry. The two married in 1957 and from their union came four children, Ronald Jr., Roland, Gayle and Keith. She was a committed mother, so when she tragically lost her oldest son at age 10, she was determined to raise her remaining 3 children in the best home possible.

After 20 years of civil service working with Job and Family Services at the State of Ohio, she decided to pursue her entrepreneurial endeavors. As a motived mother she became a successful beauty consultant holding the position of Area Director with the Mary Kay Corporation. She built a very large team and enjoyed motivating others towards success.

She maintained her status and support for the products her entire life. In 1987, she moved to Columbus, Ohio where she took an administrative position with JP Morgan Chase prior to retirement. During retirement, she enjoyed spending time at home, reading, a glass of wine, traveling and giving good life-lessons advice to family and friends.

So, also was engaged politically, she was hired as a Field Manager for Barack Obama consecutive presidential campaigns, which gave her great joy. She was preceded in death by her Father-Nathanial Owens, Mother-Josephine Mae Cobb-Owens, Son: Ronald L. Warren, Jr. Sisters: Johnny Mae Owens, Beverly McKelvin, Emma Johnson, Delores A. Whitaker. She is survived by her oldest Sister: Barbara J. Salmond, Son: Roland C. Warren and his wife Dr. Yvette M. Lopez-Warren, Daughter: Gayle R. Warren and Son: Keith D. Warren and many nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her Grandchildren: Jamin D. Warren and his wife Bryn Lander, Justin N. Warren and his wife Angel Warren, Helanah Corbin and her husband Greg Corbin and Courtney-Nicole Philips and her husband Mitchell Philips as well as her Great-grandson: Gabriel Angel Warren. She was a daughter, mother, entrepreneur, guide, and to so many a teacher of life lessons, as education was extremely important to her. She was always willing to open her door to her family, personal friends and those outside of her family.

There were many who only knew her as “Grandma Angie”. One of her favorite things to do, with her daughter and granddaughters was to prepare a huge meal on a Sunday afternoon and allow them to invite whomever they wanted to come. Somehow there was always more than enough food, and often leftovers to send home with the college students her granddaughters invited.

Her earthly challenges are now behind her and the struggle is over. She is with God now, looking down on us with a loving smile, bidding those of us who loved her so much to be strong and move on with our lives and “get on the good foot”. For she knows, in due time, and with God’s grace, she will see us all again.

Those of us who were blessed to have had her in their lives will miss her. However, we take solace in knowing that she is with God now, and has been reunited with her loved ones that preceded her arrival in heaven. She will be watching over us, waiting patiently for the day when she will see us all again.
