Anita M. Korneli (nee Behrens) August 24, 1922 – January 03, 2019 Send Flowers Anita M. Korneli (nee Behrens) age 96 of West Bend passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Samaritan Health Center. She was born August 24, 1922 in Sheboygan to Joseph and Leona (nee Van der Bloemen) Behrens. On October 20, 1945 she was united in marriage to Theodore J. Korneli at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg.

He preceded her in death on December 29, 1995. Anita enjoyed playing the guitar and played in the Texas Ramblers band when she was younger. After their marriage Anita and Joseph loved spending time up north at their cottage in Princeton.

After their retirement they started spending their winters in Florida. She enjoyed baking and reading her cookbooks. Anita is survived by her 4 children: Patty (Gary) Ping of Pensacola, FL, Judy (Dale) Feucht of West Bend, Mike (Deb) Korneli of West Bend and Cindy (special friend Larry) Rebstock of Pensacola, FL, 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Leona Behrens, her husband, Theodore Korneli, 1 brother Joseph, 2 sisters: Janet Liebel and Marion Melloy and dear friends Wanda Yehl and Rob Yehl. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend with Rev.

Patrick Heppe presiding. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. The family will greet visitors on Monday, at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Salvation Army are appreciated.
