Obituary for Anita Marie Day LYNN, Ind. – Anita Marie Day, age 80, of Lynn, Indiana, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 15, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 4, 1938, in Richmond, Indiana, to Isaac Tiffany and Luella May Weavie Gabbard, Anita lived in Randolph County most of her life.

She retired as an LPN from Reid Hospital at the age of 62. Anita enjoyed fishing; gardening; going on cruises and traveling; collecting knick-knacks, especially angels; and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her loving husband and best friend of 62 years, Larry C. Day; children, Terinda (Steve) Davey, Mark (Cindy) Day, Sherry (Bob) Bragg, and Todd (Tonya) Day; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister; brother; several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Sherry Winkle and her son, Nathan; special family, including sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon (Neil) Waterston, Claudette (John) Ridenour, Darrell (Madalyn) Day, and Mike (Lynn) Day; many nieces and nephews of the Day family; many friends; and dog, Ginger, who was sent from God.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marvin Gilbert; and loving mother-in-law and father-in-law, Nancy and Claude Day, who were a major part of her life. Visitation for Anita Marie Day will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev.

Johnny L. Shepherd Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Reid Foundation for the Hospice Program, 1100 Reid Parkway, Richmond, IN 47374.
