Obituary for Ann Belue Lathan Judith Ann Belue Lathan, 84, of Spartanburg, SC, widow of John Lawrence Lathan, Jr., died Thursday, April 19, 2018, at her home. The last surviving member of her immediate family, Ann was born February 15, 1934, in Spartanburg County, SC to the late Raymond Ernest Belue and Hazel Bowen Belue. A selfless woman who loved her Lord and family, Mrs. Lathan was a wonderful cook who dedicated her life to the needs of others.

She was Valedictorian of Thornwell Children’s Home and retired from Montgomery Industries after many years of service. Survivors include her children, Teresa Fowler (Sam) of Chesnee, SC, Laura Steward (Neil) of the home, and John Lawrence Lathan III (Terri) of King, NC; three grandchildren, including David Jernigan of Spartanburg, SC; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Ray Belue; and sister, Betty Hayes.

Funeral services and committal will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Andy Case. Visitation will follow at the Chapel.

Private entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Complex. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice, 905 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302.
