Obituary for Connie Mack Culbreth Connie Mack Culbreth, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at White Oak at North Grove. Born September 24, 1935 in Spartanburg, he was the son of the late Alvin Boyce and Elizabeth Hawkins Culbreth. Mack was an entrepreneur as a painting contractor.

He was an active participant in textile league baseball and church league softball as well as being an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and gardener. He was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church and served as a deacon. Survivors include his loving wife, Claire Ashmore Culbreth; brother, Ray Culbreth of Fairforest; sons Neil Culbreth (Debbie) of Boiling Springs, SC and Michael Culbreth (Martha) of Inman, SC; stepsons, Will Couch (Christiane) of Murrells Inlet, SC and Rob Couch (Leah) of Greenville, SC; step grandchildren, Chad Hyder (Kim) of Alexandria, VA; Rowan and Harper Couch, both of Greenville, SC; great grandchildren, Gavin and Greyson Hyder of Alexandria, VA.

Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by his first wife, Nancy Crosby Culbreth; sister, Annie Ruth Culbreth Heatherly, and daughter, Connie Jean Culbreth. Visitation will be 2:00 – 3:15 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Fairforest Baptist Church, 115 Church St, Spartanburg, SC 29301. Funeral service will be at 3:30 PM at the church, conducted by Dr. Jimmy Hilton.

Burial will follow in Fairforest Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairforest Baptist Church Building and Grounds, P.O. Box 338, Fairforest, SC 29336. An online guest register is available at www.
