Obituary for Ann Elizabeth Schlueter Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Schlueter, 64, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the Saint Luke’s Hospice House on Summit. She was born December 18, 1954 in Youngstown, Ohio as the oldest of four children. She will be sadly missed by her husband and best friend of 42 years, Michael Schlueter.

She is survived by her three children including her daughter Beverly O’Neill, and her two children, Laurel and Dominick, of Kansas City; her daughter Teresa Orth, and her husband Michael, and their two children, Kaya and Wyatt, of Tucson; and her son John Schlueter, and his wife Julie, of Kansas City. She also leaves her two sisters Jean Craft, and her husband Jerry, of Greencastle, Ind. and Joan Gresko, and her husband Ed of Canfield, OH.

She leaves her two brothers-in-law Dan Schlueter, and his wife Marcia, of Cape Girardeau, MO and Ralph Schlueter, and his wife Gail, of Del Valley, TX; and two sisters-in-law Lori Lewis, and her husband Michael, of Warrenton, MO, and Fay Richman, and her husband John, of Warrenton, MO. She has numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews in addition to her four grandchildren above. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary Clara (Pivarnik) and Leonard Beene, her mother- and father-in-law Loretta and Kenneth Schlueter, her brother Nicola Beene, her brother-in-law Thomas Schlueter and his daughter Ashley, and her granddaughter Neveah O’Neill.

Ann was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. She was employed at Reproduction Systems Incorporated (RSI) for over 20 years making copies of case files and x-rays for litigation. She also worked as a beer vendor for 25 years at the Royals, Chiefs, Blades, Comets and various venues in Kansas City.

She commented in her final days that she always wanted to write a book about being one of the few female beer vendors and her experiences. Sadly she did not have time to complete it. She worked as a security guard for UMB Bank in downtown KC and Pepsi Corporation near Swope in her most recent years.

She was a member of Guardian Angels Church. She was always generous in spirit even when in ill health and donated dozens of hand knitted scarves in her final years. She was an avid sports fan including of the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals.

She commented that she will be watching who wins the Superbowl in heaven and will know before those of us here on earth. Maybe she can send us all a hint. A gathering service for her cremated ashes will be held at 10 am on Thursday, January 17th at Guardian Angels Church, 1301 Westport Road, Kansas City, MO 64111.

Funeral services will immediately follow at 11 am at Guardian Angels Church. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Frank Slovick, the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center, Dr. Kehinde “Kenny” Morohunfola, and the Saint Luke’s Hospice House. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center or the Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) Foundation.
