Obituary for Ann J. Caruso Print Mrs. Ann J. (Brindisi) Caruso, age 65, of Utica, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, with her family at her side. She was born in Utica on June 24, 1953, a daughter of the late Pasquale F. and Rose M. (Sisti) Brindisi. Ann treated all of her nieces and nephews and their children as though they were her own.

Her charismatic personality, fun-loving nature, and love for life attracted people to her. Along with her family, she enjoyed many fun summers at Sylvan Beach at her nephew’s home. Mrs. Caruso was raised and educated in Utica, where she graduated from T. R. Proctor High School and attended Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC).

On February 5, 1995 in Whitestown, she married Thomas J. “Tommy” Caruso, Jr. Surviving are her husband, Tommy; a sister, Sandra Grounds and her fiancée, Charles Dapice, and a brother, Pasquale Brindisi, Jr., all of Utica; a sister-in-law, Diane Brindisi, of Whitesboro. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Brindisi and a brother, Thomas Brindisi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday afternoon from 1-3 at Adrean Funeral Service, Inc., 700 Rutger St., corner of Mohawk St., Utica (at the Matt Funeral Home). Ann’s family wishes to thank the Oneida Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing facilities, third floor nurses and staff for the care and compassion that they displayed during her stay with them.
