UTICA – Michele “Mickey” K. O’Toole, 77, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born on March 1, 1941, in Utica, the daughter of William and Kathleen (McGuirl) Powers. Mickey attended UFA.

On November 10, 1962, she married Robert O’Toole in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. They enjoyed a blessed union of 40 years prior to his passing on August 9, 2003. Mickey’s first devotion was to her beloved children.

She was a proud grandmother and was excited to be of Irish heritage. Mickey was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Our Lady of Knock Division #17 and member of the Women’s Club of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. Mickey is survived by her children, Kevin and Jean O’Toole, New Hartford, Daniel and Jennifer O’Toole, Rome, and Shannon and Matthew Meagher, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Madison, Fallon, Allison, Ian, Claire, Grace and Lilly.

She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, too numerous to name. Mickey was predeceased by her infant daughter, Michele, and her brother, Patrick Powers. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4-6 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors 470 French Rd.

, Utica. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery in the Spring.
