Obituary for Anna Backus 95-year-old Anna Backus of Taylorville, Illinois formerly of Chicago died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10:24 AM at Pana Community Hospital, Pana, Illinois. Cremation rites have been accorded, a graveside inurnment service will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville, Illinois at a later date. Anna Backus was born Saturday, June 9, 1923 in Chicago the daughter of William and Florence (maiden name Unknown) McKevitt.

She married Kenneth Backus, and he preceded her in death in 1993. Anna was raised in Chicago and was a homemaker. Anna is survived by granddaughters: Jackie Durbin, Susan Schneider, Debbie Bucshon, Tammy Nunziato-Garihan, Kate Backus, and Sarah Scott; grandsons Andrew Tarvin and Kenneth Backus; Twenty-five plus great-grandchildren, and twelve plus great-great- grandchildren.
