Anna’s Obituary Anna Elnora (DeForrest) Larson was born on December 13, 1923 near Reeds Spring, MO to Walter L and Ada M (Frieze) DeForrest. She passed away on March 12, 2019 in Springfield, MO at the age of 95. Anna attended first through eighth grades at Schooner, a rural school near Kimberling City, MO, and graduated from Reeds Spring High School in May 1943.

That same month, she and Warren Clark were married. He preceded her in death in September 1979. Anna taught in a small one-room school for one year, and then worked at an aircraft factory in Kansas City, MO during World War II.

Thereafter she had a thirty-five year career as a cashier in several different stores, and then retired from Consumers Market in Springfield in 1983, after working there for twenty years. In February 1987, she married Bill Larson, who preceded her in death in November 2009. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Clyde DeForrest and his wife, Grace.

Anne had lived in Springfield, MO since 1960 and had been a member of the First Baptist Church there since 1969. After her retirement, she joined the Cox Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered at the Cox North gift shop for several years. She greatly enjoyed traveling, and had visited all fifty states and several foreign countries.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019 in Stumpff Funeral Chapel, Crane, MO. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Overton officiating. Burial will be in Yocum Pond Cemetery, Reeds Spring, MO under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane, MO.
