Obituary for Anna J. Zdeb Anna (Johnson) Zdeb, 86, of Windsor Locks, loving wife of the late Edmund Zdeb, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the Suffield House. Anna was born March 27, 1932, in West Rutland, VT, the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Dorothy (Anderson) Johnson. Anna attended Hartford Hospital Nursing School where she received her LPN.

She was employed at Bickford Convalescent Home in Windsor Locks for several years. Anna was an active member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Suffield and a longtime member of the White Eagle Social Sewing/Knitting Group in Hartford. When Anna wasn’t tending to her garden and time allowed, she enjoyed sewing, cooking for family and friends, and traveling.

She is survived by three children: Stephen Zdeb and his wife, Bok Sun, of McAlester, OK; Doreen Riggott of East Windsor, CT; and William Zdeb and his wife, Cynthia, of Cromwell, CT. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren: Brian Riggott of East Windsor, CT; Suzanne Banton and her husband, Christopher, of Windsor, CT; Gregory Riggott of East Windsor, CT; Matthew Zdeb of Cromwell, CT; and Andrew and Edward Zdeb both of OK as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family in VT. Anna was predeceased by a grandson, Arthur Zdeb, and three brothers: William, Edward, and Lawrence Johnson.

There are no calling hours. A funeral service for Anna will be celebrated on Saturday January 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 585 South St, Suffield, CT. Burial will be held in VT at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in memory of Anna may be made out to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www. jdrf.org). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks.
