Obituary for Anna L. Vermilyer Anna L. Vermilyer July 3, 1935-April 20, 2018 Anna L. Vermilyer, 82, of New Carlisle, Indiana, formerly of Mill Creek, Indiana passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Hamilton Communities, Inc. in New Carlisle, IN. She was born July 3, 1935 in Laclede Co., Missouri, the daughter of Hartie Churchill and Jonnie (Lewis) Churchill. Anna was a Beautician for 46 years, she owner and operator of Ann’s Beauty Salon.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in North Liberty, IN, Golden Bell Extension Club, La Porte Maple Leaf Motorcycle Club with her husband Gene and a member of the Red Hat Society. On December 17, 1955, in Mill Creek, IN, she married Eugene Vermilyer who preceded in death December 29, 2017. She is survived by her two sons, Carl (Jackie) Vermilyer of Indianapolis, IN, Loren (Carol) Vermilyer of Rolling Prairie, IN; daughter, Lorrie (Mark) Egolf of La Porte, IN; five Grandchildren, Joshua Vermilyer, Tyler Vermilyer, Ashley Lindewald, Jason (Megan) Vermilyer, Tony Vermilyer; six great grandchildren, ; three sisters, Betty Jean (Duke) Dickson of Salem Heights, IN, Shirley Lindsey of Nappanee, IN, Darlene (Roman) Dickt of La Porte, IN; two brothers, Leon (Joyce) Churchhill of La Porte, IN,and Silas Churchill.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents a sister, Mary Cantrell, and a brother, David Churchill. Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave. , La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends Tuesday, April 24, 2018, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Wednesday, April 25, 2018, from 9:00 am until time of the service.
A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday April 25, 2018 at 10:00 am with Mr. Dave Peery officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Children’s Hospital Indianapolis, IN.
