Peggy Plis, 86, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Fountainview Terrace in La Porte. Peggy was born on February 11, 1932 in Rochester, IN, to Harry and Lillie (Gordon) Earl. On November 12, 1955 in La Porte, IN, she married Henry Plis.

Surviving are her husband, Henry, and beloved son, Ronald (Kathy DeOrnellas) Plis of Gainsville, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Russell; and two sisters, Pauline Lindeman and Maxine Thompson. Peggy was a retired special education teacher with the Michigan City Area School System.

She was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses La Porte Kingdom Hall. Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Jehovah’s Witnesses La Porte Kingdom Hall, 1205 E. Jefferson Ave,.
