Franklin Scott Lenz, 63, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at his home. Franklin was born in New Castle, IN, on August 8, 1954 to Louis Wilbur and Alma Irene (Patton) Lenz. On December 31, 1972 in Kennard, IN, he married Connie Dishman who survives in La Porte.

Also surviving are his son, Python Lenz; daughter, Crysti Lenz both of La Porte; grandchildren, Haley “granddaughter” and Tyty; brother, Louis Richard Lenz of Springfield, OH; sisters, Carol J. Prossor of New Castle, IN, Helen A. (David) Gray of Orange City, FL, Nancy R. Baker of Austin, IN; very specual uncle, Rev. James Judd of New Castle, IN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Joshua F.X. Lenz.

Franklin was a A.B.A.T.E. club member. Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A time of gathering will be held from 1-4 PM with Military Honors taking place at 4 PM on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

There will be a celebration of life dinner following the military service from 5-8 pm on Friday at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 190 W. McClung Road, La Porte, IN 46350.
