Anna M. Oyler, age 95 years, 10 months and 29 days, of Grand Tower, passed away at 5:20 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2018, in Grand Tower, IL. Anna was born on October 31, 1922, in Berlin, IL, a daughter to the late William and Caddie (McNatton) Koke. She was united in marriage to Gale Dwight Oyler in Berlin, IL, on February 3, 1946.

Gale preceded her in death on November 9, 1999. Anna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grand Tower and was along time 4H leader in Morrisonville and Grand Tower. She was a homemaker and mother for 71 years, grandmother for 42 years and great-grandmother for 18 years.

She had various jobs over the years but her most important was to be a mother. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Grand Tower. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Grand Tower and from 11 a.m. until the hour of services on Tuesday at the First Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower. Memorials are the preferred form of remembrance and may be made to the First Baptist Church in Grand Tower, Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Walker Hill Cemetery. Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Janet Ward of Leduc, Alberta, Canada, Gayla Oyler of Auburn, IL, and Linda (Glenn) Schlimpert of Jacob, IL; one son and daughter-in-law, Walter (Fay) Oyler of Grand Tower; and nine grandchildren, Nathan Ward, Ben Ward, Zachary Ward, S. Grant Oyler, Christopher Oyler, William Wasmund, Alea Schlimpert, Daniel Schlimpert, and Amy Schlimpert.

She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son Allen Oyler, five brothers and three sisters. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Anna M. Oyler please visit our Sympathy Store.
