Anne C. Bierce, 91, of Torrington, CT, passed away Friday, September 21st, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late William A. Bierce. Anne was born in Torrington, CT on April 29, 1927, a daughter of the late Catherine (Hogan) and Barnard Cunningham.

She was a graduate of Saint Francis School and Torrington High, Class of 1944. She was the owner at Anne’s Specialty and Bridal Boutique in Torrington for 43 years, retiring in 2007. She was an active member of Saint Francis Church and of Junior Women’s Club.

She also enjoyed the many social activities at Torrington Elks Club with her husband and friends. She had a passion for animals, especially her Boxer dogs She is survived by her daughter Maryann Bisson of Prospect, CT and son William Bierce and wife Denise Longobucco-Bierce of Willington CT. , grandchildren Codi Bierce and Brett and Colin Bisson.

She was predeceased by son in law Brian Bisson and a brother John C. Cunningham. Funeral Services will be held Thursday Sept 27, 10:30 AM at Saint Francis Church in Torrington CT. Burial will follow at Saint Peter Cemetery.
