Anthony’s Obituary On Wednesday, August 28, 1996, A baby boy, who was named, Anthony James Lynn Slaughter was born from the union of Anthony Ray Slaughter and Bobbi Oates, in Everett, Washington. Anthony attended Wichita Public Schools, graduating from Wichita West High School in 2014. After graduation, Anthony decided to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps (U.S.M.C.

). While in the Marine Corps, Anthony was awarded the National Defense Medal, Global War Terrorism Service Medal and a Sharpshooter Rifle Qualification Badge. After completing his service, he was honorably discharged.

Anthony was a very smart, caring and loving young man, who truly enjoyed life. He was also very energetic and handsome. Anthony had a contagious smile, that could light up an entire room.

Anthony enjoyed fishing and hunting with his grandfather, Bobby Oates. He also loved nice cars. On Saturday, February 2, 2019, the Lord saw fit to call Anthony from life to everlasting.

He was proceeded in death by his grandmother, Catherine Ponds. Anthony leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Bobbi Oates, Father, Anthony R. Slaughter; sister, Tiazia (Dave Robateau) Oates-Robateau, his niece, Evad Robateau, sister, T’Kayah Oates; maternal grandparents, Bobby and Margarette Oates, paternal grandmother, Luana Solomon; aunt, Misha Slaughter; and a host of step siblings, nieces and nephews, that became family; and his doggy do, Karma. Anthony will be missed every day, but we will keep him alive in our hearts and minds.

A private memorial service will commence for Mr. Slaughter at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, in the Biglow Funeral Home Chapel, 2310 E. Lincoln Street, Wichita, KS 67211. Family will hold a private viewing for Mr. Slaughter as he rests peacefully from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, in the the Biglow Funeral Home Chapel, 2310 E. Lincoln Street, Wichita, KS 67211.
