Schenectady – Anthony L. Caputo, 85, passed away on Sunday, July 29th, 2018 after a brief illness. Born in Schenectady, Anthony was the son of the late Louis and Beatrice (Tucci) Caputo. Anthony served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was then stationed in Germany.

After discharge he served in the Army Reserve and retired as Command Sergeant Major. For 28 years, Anthony worked at the General Electric Co. as a welder. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Jo-An (McKnight) Caputo, his daughter, Rose Yetter, son, Ronny Caputo (Terri), step-children, Jackie Gregoire (Albert), Charlene Fogarty (John) and Tracy Tanner (Raymond).

Anthony is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 2nd from 4-6pm at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. , Rotterdam.

Funeral services and interment with military honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anthony’s name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or to the Disable American Veterans at ihelpveterans.org.
