Anthony Richard Szymkowiak, 55, life-long resident of South Bend, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Memorial Hospital. Anthony was born July 7, 1963 in South Bend, to the late Edward and Dolores (Wiesner) Szymkowiak. He graduated from LaSalle High School in 1981.

He had worked at REV RV in Elkhart, building cabinets for fifteen years. He loved watching football and was an avid Vikings fan. Surviving are his three sisters and a brother; Gail Szymkowiak of South Bend, Ruth Groshans of Mishawaka, Vickie (Michael) Van Dusen of South Bend, and James (Melonie) Szymkowiak of South Bend, and a special friend; Sofia Nixon.

Also surviving are three nieces and a nephew; Lisa (Andrew) Holloway, Shannon Groshans, Jeanne Van Dusen, and Kenneth (Tammy) Van Dusen. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Dolores Szymkowiak. A Celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
