Michael Erle Lower, age 43, of Mishawaka, on Wednesday December 12, 2018 he went home to be with the Lord. Mike was born on December 1, 1975 in South Bend to David and Karen Lower. On August 31, 2007 in the Shiojiri Gardens in Mishawaka he married Ashley Hall.

Mike is survived by his wife, Ashley Lower of Mishawaka, their children Madison Hurst and Brayden Lower. His parents David and Karen Lower of South Bend; his sister Kerri (Chris) Stockbridge of Osceola and his nephews and niece, Cameron, Kendyl and Cayden. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Erle and Barbara Henderson & Daniel and Marjorie Lower.

Mike was an incredible husband, father, son and brother. He had the ability to make magical moments from seemingly nothing and loved nothing more than to brighten his family’s day. He loved God and his faith was important to him.

His hope was in the Lord. His steadfast love for his parents was endless. He loved spending time with them, calling just to say, “HI” and always letting everyone know he had the best parents any guy could have.

He was the best little brother a girl could have. When Mike and Kerri were together, laughter and love lit up the room. He had Kerri wrapped around his little finger, and they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Mike had the gift of compassion and love for anyone he met. He was selfless and willing to give the shirt off his back to a friend or even a stranger in need. Many can tell stories of his giving nature.

His sense of humor was contagious, corny jokes and silly faces was sure to always make everyone laugh. He also loved to pull pranks, just ask Kerri about a few. From childhood, his fun-loving, goofy nature always made for a great laugh.

Mike’s greatest accomplishment was his children. He loved Brayden and Madison with his whole heart. He was proud to be their dad and loved them unconditionally.

Brayden was his, “Little Buddy” and Maddy was his, “Sunshine”. They were his pride and joy. Mike and Brayden loved to play any sport together.

Mike was always there to cheer him on at his games. They always enjoyed the same sense of humor and thick dark hair. His love for Brayden was enormous, a love that will transcend time.

Madison was Mike’s, “Sunshine”. He was the first who taught her how to hold a hammer and the joys of shopping at home improvement stores. He encouraged her to be strong, loved to spoil her and was proud of the beautiful young lady she has become.

Mike was best friends with John and Stacy Boler for over 10 years. Johnny and Mike talked every day. He was Mike’s confidante, prayer buddy and encouragement.

He played a huge role in Mike’s life. He never missed a chance to spend time with “Johnny B”. The Boler family has become an extension of the Lower family.

He excelled in his love of gardening and roses, creating masterpieces in carpentry, grilling and never turning down an invitation for a great dinner. His knowledge of all 80’s music and his ability to belt out any song from just a word or two was extraordinary. Funeral services for Mike will be held on Wednesday December 19, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend.

Friends may visit with his family two hours before the funeral service. Rev. Randy Geans will be officiating.
