Anthony S. Lopes, 82, of Hopkins Hill Road, Coventry, RI, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at home. Born in West Warwick, RI, he was the husband of Janet M. (L’Heureux) Lopes. They were married for fifty-nine years.

He was the son of the late Manuel Sr. and Delvina (Horta) Lopes. Anthony was a machinist Hoechst Celanese, Coventry, RI, for twenty years until retiring in 1980. Besides his loving wife he is survived by a son; Thomas J. Lopes, a brother; Manuel Lopes, Jr., daughter in law; Lisa J. Lopes, three granddaughters; Heather Dawkins and her husband Joshua, Samantha Lopes and Chelsea Lopes and two great grandsons; Eastern Dawkins and Harrison Dawkins.

He was predeceased by a son; Steven A. Lopes and a sister; Elvira Gillespie. His services will be private. For online condolences please visit www.
