PALAZZO, WILLIAM B., 75, of Coventry, RI quietly passed away at home with his loving wife of 48 years Sharon (Balcom) Palazzo by his side on Friday, June 15, 2018. Mr. Palazzo was born April 13, 1943, in Providence to the late Biagio V. and Florence E. (Saccoccia) Palazzo. He is survived by his wife Sharon, daughter Maria Lynn Mann of Michigan, her husband Joshua and their daughter Leah; his brother, CDR Alan Palazzo, USN Ret, his spouse, Norma Jean, and their son LT Giancarlo Palazzo, USN, a Naval Aviator, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Palazzo graduated from URI, and attended Graduate classes at Providence College, and Brown. He held various IT Executive positions in numerous area Hospitals and Health-care Software Companies. He enjoyed Big Game Fishing and was the Skipper of the Bluefin 2 out of East Greenwich, and enjoyed being with his family and friends.

He was best known as a Political Gadfly and relentlessly pursued corruption in Government. He was a Benefactor of Boston Children’s Hospital and South County Hospital where he retired as CIO. He also held various IT management positions at Baxter Health-care International, Amphora Systems to name a few, and consulted for various organizations.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick, RI. A Memorial reception to follow in the Rotunda at the Crowne Plaza, 801 Greenwich Ave. , Warwick, RI.

Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted, gifts to Boston Children’s and SC Hospital Borda Wing would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements by Iannotti Funeral Home, Coventry.
