WEATHERMAN, Howard Wayne, 82, formerly of Coventry, passed away at the home of his son Doug Weatherman and his wife Nicole in Putnam, CT on Monday, September 24, 2018. He was the husband of the late Anna (Fusco) Weatherman and the late Gail (Gauthier) Weatherman. Born in Blue Rock, NC, he was a son of the late Raymond and Carrie (MacMahon) Weatherman.

Wayne was a Navy veteran. He was a youth basketball coach and was also an HVAC instructor at New England Tech in Warwick, RI. He was an active member of Local 51.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to garden and hunt. He enjoyed traveling to Florida and North Carolina to see his family. Besides his son, he leaves two brothers, Herman and Kenneth Weatherman and a sister Joyce Gouge, all of North Carolina.

He was the father of the late Daryl Weatherman. Visitation will be held Friday morning, September 28, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte. 117), Coventry, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 am.

Burial in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association of Rhode Island would be appreciated.
