DEL MASTRO SR. , Thomas M., 77, formerly of Coventry, died September 20, 2018 at home in Queen Creek, Arizona. He was the beloved husband of Delores (Hebert) Breard-Del Mastro for 35 years.

Born in Providence, the son of the late Frank (Benny) and Rose (Gallucci) Del Mastro. He lived in Coventry since 1966, previously living in Providence after his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1965. A 1959 graduate of Central High School of Providence, he earned an “Associate in Science Degree for Business Management” in 1974 at Johnson & Wales College, a 1984 RI Institute of Electronics graduate and was a member of the 1984 National Honor Society Alpha Beta Kappa Inc., RI Chapter.

He was a lifetime member of the American Society of Quality Control. He was employed at the former Brown & Sharpe Mfg. Company of North Kingstown as a calibration technician until his early retirement in 2001.

He was employed at Taco Inc., Cranston for five years (1985-1990) where he was hired as a night shift inspector and promoted to Leadsperson/Supervisor of the “Replacement Parts Department” after one year. Was the present Warden of the MSGR. Peter E. Blessing Council No.

5237, Knight of Columbus, Coventry and past Chancellor. He was a SS. John & Paul Church of Coventry communicant, Usher, Alter Server, Budget Counter, Certified 6th& 7thgrade CCD teacher (since 1985) and also taught 6thgrade at Our Lady of Good Council Church of West Warwick (since 1990).

A past Blood Drive, Christmas Bazaar, and Family Activities Chairperson and Council Member for SS John & Paul Church. A past RI Family Shelter, Warwick volunteer. Was a past President, Family Activities Director for PWP, Chapter 390 (1979-1982) and volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

In 1972 he help organized Club Scout Pack 4 of Coventry and was their first Chairperson for three years. His hobbies included chess, golf, guitar playing, videography, and volunteering. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Thomas Jr. of Coventry, Frank of West Warwick, and Joseph Del Mastro of Coventry; five step-children, Debbie (Breard) Ramsey of West Warwick, Sandra (Breard) DeLuca of Warwick, John Breard of West Warwick, Jimmy Breard of Coventry, and Steven Breard of Queen Creek, AZ; a sister Anna (Del Mastro) Mattson of Providence; 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 17 step-grandchild and 18 step-great-grandchildren.

He was the father of the late Terri Spellman and brother of the late Alfred Del Mastro of Providence. His Funeral will be held Friday, September 25, 2018 at 8:45 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte. 117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in SS John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry.

Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tom’s name to St. Jude Children’s Cancer Hospital (www.
