Ernest E. Trafford II, 58, of Providence, went to be with the Lord on October 16th 2018. Ernest was proud and honored to have served as an Army, Green Beret, special forces, airborne, medic. Most people know him as K-9 Master Trainer Ernie, with over 30 years experience training and caring for man’s best friend.

He was an avid bodybuilder and personal trainer with a passion for sharing health and fitness with clients, friends, and family. He enjoyed staying active and studied a variety of martial art styles, earning his black belt and title of Sensi. Ernie is best remembered, by many, for sharing his great love for Jesus, and becoming a chaplin.

Ernie is the beloved son of the late Ernest E. Trafford I and the late Antonetta Francesca Monacelli Trafford. Along with his legacy and wonderful memories, he leaves behind his daughter, Alexandria Carnevale and her husband Michael Carnevale; son, Ernest E. Trafford III; his sisters Patricia A. Trafford and Jean E. Trafford; as well as, his nephew, Jonathan Trafford-Seabra; niece, Lynda Trafford-Couto; great nephew Nicholas Maldonado; and many cherished family and friends. US Military Honors will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 5:00 pm in the Gorton-Menard Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Washington Street, Coventry, RI, followed by a prayer service at 5:15 pm.
