CALVINO, Phyllis M. (Sireci), 67, formerly of MishnocK Rd. , passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Nicholas A. Calvino.

Born in New London, CT, she was a daughter Mariano and Antonina “Lena” (Lipari) Sireci. Phyllis owned a Retail Bridal Boutique for many years before retiring in 1985. She was the Chairwoman of Patient Services Multiple Sclerosis Committee in New London, CT and the recipient of the 1978 New London, CT Multiple Sclerosis Golden Hope Chest Award and the RI Multiple Sclerosis Person of The Year Award in 1991.

She is survived by her children, Marianne Wells and her husband Glynn of Fl, Tammy Kerzner and her husband Dan of West Greenwich, Heidi Novak of Nevada and Daniel Novak of Maryland; a sister, Marlene Simon of CT; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She was the sister of the late Mario T. Sireci. Her Funeral will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 9:00 am from the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.

117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in SS. John & Paul Church, Coventry. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New London, CT will be private for the family.

Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 pm. Flowers are welcome and if you choose, donations in Phyllis’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (nationalmssociety.org) would be appreciated.
