Anthony “Tony” Bruno March 15, 1936 – December 23, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book PROSPECT Anthony “Tony” Bruno Jr. “Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend” Mr. Anthony “Tony” Bruno Jr., 82, of Prospect, entered into the gates of heaven on Sunday December 23, 2018 with his beloved wife by his side. He was the husband of Janet (Civitate) (Grickis) Bruno. Tony was born in Waterbury on March 15, 1936, son of the late Antonio and Helen (Felice) Bruno Sr

He attended Croft High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He worked as a Construction Carpenter for C L & P for 35 years until his retirement in 1995.

He was a longtime member and former president of the American Italian Civic Club. He was a loving, caring, and generous man who loved spending time with his family. Besides his wife Janet of 24 years he leaves his two children; Debra Daddona and her husband Richard of Watertown and Anthony “Tony” Bruno III and his wife Judy of Prospect; a stepson, Mark Grickis of Prospect; two step daughters, Dana Grickis of Waterbury and Karin Townsend and Joseph Carusello of Watertown; a sister, Angie Sileo of Wolcott; 3 sister’s in law, Connie Bruno of Southington, Rosemary Wojcik of Southington and Fran Tavoletti and her husband Nino of Plymouth; 4 grandchildren, Angela Daddona, Richard Daddona Jr., Lauren Bruno and Tony Bruno IV; 3 step grandchildren, Jordan Townsend, Alyssa Townsend and Dylan Flaherty; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother Vincent Bruno and 2 brothers in law, Ralph Sileo and John Wojcik. The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Kert Sabbath and Dr. Edmund Quinn for their exceptional care given to Tony during his illness. Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial with his cremains present will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 4 Union City Road Prospect.

Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway Waterbury.
