Antoinette (Toni)’s Obituary Antoinette (Toni) Sapp was born in Columbus on October 30, 1934. Saint Anthony walked her into heaven on January 24, 2019. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were fortunate to be able to spend some of Toni’s last hours with her.

Toni was a long-time member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, sang in the Church choir, and was a cook in the Parish grade school cafeteria for 19 years. Everybody who met Toni loved her, and all the students she served still share fond memories of that time. Toni was proud of her Italian heritage and was an excellent cook.

She kept the family together by happily carrying on the tradition of Sunday Spaghetti dinners for the entire family; friends were always welcome and often came, too. Toni loved to travel and was fortunate to have traveled both domestically and abroad. Toni was preceded in death by her parents, Nicolo and Concetta Sulprizio.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 63 years, John, Sr., children Christine (Brian Buerkle), Kathleen Swies (Mark), John, Jr. (Cathi), and David; grandchildren Sylvia Sapp, Jonathan Swies (Sarah), Dustin Swies (Cortnie), David Swies, Chuck Byble (Jamie), and Luke Sapp; great grandchildren Devin Sapp, Anthony Rivera, Alex Rivera, Emma Swies, Grace Swies, Oscar Swies, Alba Swies, Parker Swies, Aiden Swies, Eleanor Swies, Lincoln Byble, and Aria Byble. Family will receive friends Tuesday 3-7pm at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 S. High St. Rosary 6:45 pm. Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 473 S. Roys Ave.

Private Entombment Thursday at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Visiting Angels and the Mount Carmel Hospice team, especially Gina and Lucy, who were gentle and loving in their care of Toni.
