Richard “Dick”‘s Obituary Richard E. (Dick) Keffer, Born 2-21-1930 in Columbus, Ohio, the 4th of 7 children to Lucy and Edward Keffer; died December 2, 2018 after a long struggle with emphysema and COPD. Attended St. Leo’s and Barrett Jr. High School; enlisted in the U.S. Army in1948 and served with the 1st Fighting Division in Korea. He participated in 5 major battles and received 2 purple hearts.

Retired after 38 years as Maintenance Foreman with White-Westinghouse; when they closed shop, he turned off the lights. He was a fix-it-all mechanic who loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting, fishing, many camping trips to Canada and Lake Erie, and made his home in Ohio and in Florida. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eddie and Robert, sisters Adrian (Dick) Beavers and Virginia (Jack) Williams.

Survived by sons Terry and Keith, sister Patty (Dick) Brooker, brother Jerry (Donna), granddaughters Tracy and Madeline, great grandsons Justin and Terry; great-great grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Life member of Korean War Veterans, VFW-DAV, American Legion 164, Masonic Grand Lodge 169 in Grove City; and 50 year member Aladdin Shriners. Family will receive friends Wednesday 4-8pm at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 S. High St. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Thursday at St. Leo Catholic Church, 221 Hanford St. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery.
