Gloria Ann (Burke) Thompson, age 72, passed away at home surrounded by family on January 25, 2019. Member of St. Mary’s Cathedral in Ogdensburg, NY. Gloria served God as a nun in the San Antonio convent for 7 years after graduating from high school in Ogdensburg.

Gloria also served our country in the United States Navy, stationed with the Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 3, San Diego, North Island Station. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, Gloria served as a stay at home mother for her two children. Gloria is survived by son, Matthew (Patricia) Thompson; daughter, Jennifer (Lofton) Hayes; 4 grandchildren, Sean Thompson, Luigi Almonte, Mercurie Hayes, and Shanell Hayes; 8 siblings, Casey Fortney, Linda Martino, Nancy Russick, Patti Devlin, Peggy Silver, Timothy Burke, Tom Burke, and Terry Burke.

Preceded in death by parents, Timothy and Margaret Burke and brother, Jimmy Burke. Family will receive friends Friday, February 1, 2019 beginning at 1 p.m. with service to follow at 3 p.m. at GRAUMLICH FUNERAL HOME, 1351 S. High St., Rev. Rhonda Aldmeran officiating.
