Antonius D Stowes, July 01, 1978 — January 30, 2019

Antonius D. Stowes January 30, 2019 Antonius “Peebo” Demont Stowes was born July 1, 1978 to Myra and Anthony Stowes. He spent his childhood and majority of his adolescence in downtown Newport News. He is known to many for his big smile, warm heart, and beaming personality.

Antonius was wise beyond his years. He provided many with wisdom, whether it be street knowledge, common sense, or biblical knowledge; he aimed to educate and help others. Antonius is a member of the Hiriam Masonic Lodge.

His favorite pastime was fishing, which he learned from his late grandfather, William P. Fennell Jr He was many things to many, but most importantly he was kind. Antonius entered eternal rest January 30, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Etta Mae Fennell (2007) and William Percy Fennell Jr. (2014) and brother, Devin Stowes (2015). He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sharee Stowes (Hampton), son, Quantrey S. Hicks (Tameka Hicks); four daughters, Asiyah, Azure`, SaNiyah and Lakota Stowes; brothers, Antwan Fennell, Elton Brown (Lisa Stinson), Anthony Stowes (Hampton), Antonio Stowes, Ibn Smith, Jornov Davis, Anthony Stowes (North Carolina); sisters, Pamela Stubbs (Sean Stubbs), and Kayla Smith; mother, Myra Fennell-Smith (Harry Smith) and father Anthony “Andy” Stowes; grandmother, Alice Davis and host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. The viewing will be held 12:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Cooke Bros.

Funeral Chapel followed by a wake service from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Home Going service will be held 12 Noon Friday, February 8, 2019 at Cooke Bros. Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
