Arthur’s Obituary Arthur R. Gaskins, Sr., 84 of Springfield, MA, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Born in Springfield, MA, Arthur was the youngest of three sons born from the late Winton Gaskins and the late Bettie Thompson. Arthur enlisted into the United States Air Force from to where he achieved the rank of before being honorably discharged in.

After his military service, Arthur was employed by the United States Postal service and retired after over 40 years of service. He is predeceased by his wife of almost 49 years, Mary C. Gaskins; he is survived by his daughter Vyronda Bailey, his son Arthur R. Gaskins, Jr. (Victoria), his granddaughter Makita Gilliam, his grandson Xavier Gaskins, all of Springfield, MA and a host of other dear family and friends.
