Audrey Marie Cook, 96, of Orion, died, Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Hope Creek Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Orion United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the church.

Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Orion United Methodist Church and American Cancer Society. Audrey was born on March 14, 1922 in Aledo, IL, the daughter of John Thomas and Blanche Gertrude Johnson Lunn.

She married Ray Charlson in 1939 in Kuhoka, MO, and he proceeded her in death in 1947. She later married WM Cook in 1948 in Kansas City, KS and they were married for 57 years. Audrey worked for International Harvester for 6 years, worked as a secretary at Myers Plumbing and Heating, and owned the Orion Café for 32 years.

She was an avid member of the Orion United Methodist Church, a charter member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 143, and a member of the Orion American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her sons, John (Kathryn) Charlson, Galesburg, Bill (Hilde) Charlson, Spanaway, WA, Glen “Butch” (Rhonda) Cook, Orion; daughters, Pam Schroeder, Orion, Pat (Jim) Cooper, Orion; son-in-law, Larry Anderson, Orion; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, brother, both her husbands, daughter, Kathy, and 2 grandsons, Rob and Matthew.
