She was a lifelong musician, performer and educator. Her affinity for music began at a young age. At 10 years old, Audrey already knew how to please a crowd, singing once a week on an NYC radio show.

A decade later, the Juilliard-trained singer had become a regular on the New York City Opera Workshop stage. Education was important to Audrey, and at 16 years old, she attended Hunter College, and graduated with a degree in music and mathematics. She married Ted in 1948, and moved to New City, N.Y., in 1959 with her three children: Mark, Hillary and Cindy.

She was known for practicing opera in the house; for performing in the community theater; for singing with her group, the Three Gs; and for her role as a long-time soloist at Temple Beth Sholom. When Audrey was in her late 60s, she began writing her own lectures on the biographies of famous opera singers and musicians. She often posed as the artist as she told their story, and her talks were in high demand, until she retired from performing her programs at age 90.

Audrey was also known for loving — and boasting about — her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Ted; her brother, Allen Wollins; three children Mark Ginsberg and Elaine Anderson, of Takoma Park, Md. , Hillary and Leor Roubein, of Tulsa, Okla.
