Audrey Weathers Barbour, 97, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019. She was born September 12, 1921 in Wake County to the late Ora David Weathers and Zola Massey Weathers. She worked for Corning Glass for over 20 years and later with Little People Preschool.

Audrey was a member of Knightdale Baptist Church for many years. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, 27545 and other times at the home of Lib and Dalton Champion, 1413 Horton Road, Knightdale. Funeral service 11:00 am, Thursday, January 10, 2019 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel.

Burial will follow at New Knightdale Baptist Church Cemetery. Surviving: daughter, Elizabeth “Lib” Barbour Champion (Dalton); grandsons: Michael Gordon Barbour (Joyce), Tony Gordon Champion (Dana), Jeffrey Todd Champion (Laura); great-grandchildren: Jessica Bailey (Ryan), Megan Champion, Katy Champion; great-great grandchildren: Logan Bailey, Tyson Bailey; sisters: Kathleen Batchelor, Phyllis Norman; brother, Bobby Weathers. In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Barbour; son, Jesse Gordon Barbour; sister, Emma W. Weaver; brother, James Weathers.
