Barbara “Barb” Beyer August 07, 1953 – January 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Barbara J. “Barb” Beyer, age 65, lifelong resident of Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Friday afternoon, January 11, 2019 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. Barb was born in Manitowoc on August 7, 1953 to Denise (Dufano) Beyer and the late Roger C. Beyer. She attended St. Mark’s Catholic Grade School and Two Rivers Washington High School, graduating with the class of 1971.
She also furthered her education at Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland. Barb was employed with Mirro Aluminum for 32 years, and served as Union Steward with United Steelworkers Union #6499 for many years. She was very active with the Memory Cafe, associated with the Aging & Disability Re Center; she was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan; enjoyed playing cards; and in her younger days enjoyed miniature bowling and playing softball.
Survivors include her mother, Denise Beyer of Manitowoc; one sister, Sue Miles (partner, Denny Hrdina); one brother, Dave Beyer, all of Two Rivers; very special niece, Samantha Beyer (fiance, Chris Varney) and special nephews, Lee Beyer (special friend, Cassie Raddatz, and children, Jaylan & Weston), and Matthew Miles. She is further survived by her best friend, Diane Johnson (Russ), and Diane’s family from upper Michigan; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Barb will also be deeply missed by the Gang at the Old Jolly Rodger.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Beyer; sister-in-law, Lenore Beyer; and her paternal and maternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 12 o’clock Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th Street, Two Rivers. Fr.
Dave Timmerman, a cousin, will officiate at the memorial service with assistance from Pastor Becky Deuel and Deacon Frank Birr. Cremation has taken place. The family will greet friends and relatives at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon.
